Oh god. This is bugging me sooo much. Whenever I smudge a black mane on Photoshop Elements, I get these annoying white outlines on the smudges. It's like they're painting...and I don't have 'finger painting' selected.
Screen shot:
Anyone had a similar experience, or any idea how to fix it? It's doing my head in.

Do you make sure that the "Sample All Layers" is unchecked?

I've had this problem too. I usually make all layers invisible except for the layer im working on and i CHECK the sample all layers...seeing as the other layers are invisible it doesnt interfere with it. OR i usually smudge ...say my horse is the smudging subject...i do that before i put it on the manipulation Then i go over the ends with the burn tool if there is any remaining white bits.

Thanks Lady Entice. I'll try that. It might get annoying not being able to see the surroundings but ah well. It'll stop me wanting to smash my computer up. Thanks. :D Body smudging is usually fine, because I lock trasparency, so it never goes beyond the edges of the subject - It's when I'm smudging outwards on something like the mane or tail.
But thanks a bunch anyway.
