Heya! Thanks so much for applying to be a student on Mayhem Studios - I look forward to working with you!

Just a quick introduction... I'm Poet, obviously, but you can call me anything you want xD I use Photoshop, but I do have GIMP downloaded so that I can reference it if I need to, when teaching :3 I'm very flexible on assignment due-dates. I'm very busy with schoolwork and such, so I completely understand if you don't finish your assignments right away.

If you're going to be absent for more than a few days, though, I would appreciate it if you could tell me, just so that I know you haven't fallen off the face of the earth xD

Anyway, let's get started!

It looks like you have a pretty good grasp of making manipulations. Your composition looks good, manes and tails are nice, etc. So, instead of me just telling you where to start, I'd like you to tell me.

Is there something new you wanted to learn? Or do you want more practice on the things I mentioned above? Or is there something that you see in one of my images (www.poeticjustice314.deviantart.com), that you want to know how to do?

I'd love to work more on manes and more advanced effects. I feel like my images are all pretty basic and plain. Plus my manes and tails are not that wonderful so I'd love to work on those.

I'd like you to cut him out, and prep the horse like you normally would for a manip. (Smudging, highlighting, etc.) And then just put the cut-out horse onto a bright colored background, and show it to me!

Be sure to save the image as both a PSD.file (so you can go back and edit it), and a JPEG.
