Here I will explain how to download and install brushes to GIMP:
The first step is to find some awesome brushes. Devintart has a great selection, so I would recommend starting there
Once you have found some brushes to download, click the button that says "Download File ZIP Download"
Then a window pops up and says "Open With: Compressed (zipped) Folders" and "Save File" choose "Open With: Compressed (zipped) Folders"
Once the downloading is finished, a new window marked with the brushes will appear
So far so good....
Now go to Start > My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files > GIMP 2.0 > Share > gimp > 2.0 > Brushes
then drag and drop the brushes you downloaded into that folder and your brushes are installed
***If GIMP is running you will have to refresh the brushes before you can use them***
